First opened in 1900, Boston Symphony Hall is located in the historic Back Bay neighborhood of Boston and is home to the famous Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Pops Orchestra. It was the first auditorium in the country to be designed with the input of an acoustics expert, Wallace Clement Sabine, professor of physics at nearby Harvard University. Although the original concert stage floor has been renovated since its original inception, the materials used were exact replicas to keep the acoustics of the space intact.
